Two kinds of tasks
There are two task systems, and both pay out in task points:
| Bestiary tasks | Task Master tasks | |
|---|---|---|
| What counts | Every monster you kill, automatically | One assigned monster per slot |
| Time limit | None | 1 day, 7 days or 30 days |
| Party kills | Count for every member | Only your own kills |
| Pays | Items and task points at each stage | Task points, plus crystal coins on the monthly |
Bestiary tasks
Every kind of monster has its own kill counter, and it never resets. Kills made by your summons count. Party members all get the kill too. A Tainted or Corrupted monster counts as the normal one.
Each monster has four stages. Each stage wants that many more kills, so the totals are 200, 700, 1,700 and 3,700. Every stage pays once, the moment you reach it, and the server tells you so. Once the fourth stage is done, that monster has nothing more to pay.
What a stage pays depends on how tough the monster is, measured by its health:
| Tier | Monster health | Item per stage | Task points per stage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Very Low | up to 100 | 3 fragments | 1, 1, 1, 1 |
| Low | 101 – 500 | 5 fragments | 1, 1, 1, 1 |
| Mid | 501 – 2,500 | 5 fragments | 1, 1, 2, 2 |
| High | 2,501 – 6,001 | 10 fragments | 1, 1, 2, 2 |
| Very High | above 6,001 | 1 quartz | 2, 2, 3, 3 |
Fragments come as one kind, drawn at random each stage. If your backpack is full, the reward drops at your feet.
Task Master tasks
Say task to the Task Master to pick up to three tasks, one per slot. For each slot you choose a difficulty (Easy, Medium or Hard), and the Task Master picks a monster from that difficulty's list.
| Slot | Kills | Time limit | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Daily | 300 | 24 hours | 2 task points |
| Weekly | 1,250 | 7 days | 6 task points |
| Monthly | 2,000, plus 10 kills of Infernatil | 30 days | 10 task points and 2 crystal coins |
- Rerolls: 2 per task. You get a new monster and your progress starts at 0, but the deadline stays the same.
- Undo: once per task. It drops the task so you can choose a different difficulty.
- A task that runs out of time is simply removed, and the slot is free again.
- Your progress shows in the Server Log.
Task points
Say !taskpoints to see your balance. It also shows next to your inventory.
Say trade to the Task Master to spend them:
| Item | Points | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Chisel | 2 | Chips a quartz into ten fragments of the same kind |
| Autoloot slot token | 4 | Unlocks an extra autoloot slot |
| Quartz box | 5 | Opens into one random quartz |
| Autoloot preset token | 10 | Unlocks an autoloot preset |
| Ignore loot token | 10 | Unlocks autoloot's ignore-loot list |
| Stackables token | 10 | Unlocks autoloot's Stackables slot |
| Bronze / silver / golden task coin | 1 / 10 / 100 | Use it to get the same number of points back |
Task coins are how you give task points to another player. A coin costs exactly what it gives back.
The Bestiary tab
The client's Bestiary tab shows every monster you have met, with your kill count and its loot table. The loot list opens up as your kills grow:
| Total kills | Loot you can see |
|---|---|
| 1,000 | Everything that drops at least 1 in 50 |
| 2,000 | Everything that drops at least 1 in 100 |
| 4,000 | Everything |
- Anything you have looted yourself is always shown, whatever your kill count.
- You can also buy the loot list open with task points: 5 points opens the next locked step on one monster, and 10 points opens all of it. Buying only shows loot. It gives no kills and no task rewards.
- Locked items show as ?.
- The loot list has three pages: Normal, Tainted and Corrupted. The Tainted page shows the monster's own odds ×5 and the Corrupted page ×10, plus the loot only variants drop. One kill count opens all three.
