Spells of this server

Most spells work as you know them. The ones below are new or changed, and several of them grow stronger the more often you cast them.

A vocation includes its promotion, so "Paladin" means Paladins and Royal Paladins. Every spell here except Creature Illusion needs a premium account. None of them has to be learned first.

Spells that grow with use

Bow Volley, Crossbow Burst and the four mage projectile spells each count your successful casts, and they get bigger at set totals. The count belongs to the spell, so Ice Projectile and Terra Projectile each have their own.

Paladin: the bow and the crossbow

Bow Volley

exevo mas con · bow and arrows

Needs a bow loaded with arrows. Arrows in a quiver count.

It hits twice. The physical hit grows with your level plus your distance skill, times the attack of your bow and arrow together. If your arrows carry an element, a second, elemental hit follows, and it grows with the arrow's elemental damage, your magic level and, more slowly, your level. Each hit meets the target's resistance for its own type.

Its area grows with your casts, see the table above.

Crossbow Burst

exori mas con · crossbow and bolts

Needs a crossbow loaded with bolts. One target, physical damage.

Damage grows with your level, your distance skill and the attack of your crossbow and bolt together, and the attack counts for more the higher it is.

The first bolt lands at once and the others together a moment later, at 100%, 75%, 55% and 45% of the first. It uses half the bolts it fires, rounded up, all taken from one stack when you cast. If the target is gone before the follow-up bolts fly, you get their share back.

Mage projectiles

Ice Projectile

exori con frigo · Druid

Ice damage.

Terra Projectile

exori con tera · Druid

Earth damage.

Energy Projectile

exori con vis · Sorcerer

Energy damage.

Flame Projectile

exori con flam · Sorcerer

Fire damage.

Each one aims at one target up to 4 tiles away. The first projectile flies at once and each further one a fifth of a second after the last. Every projectile rolls its damage on its own, and each deals half of what the matching strike spell (exori frigo, exori tera, exori vis, exori flam) would, growing with your magic level and level the same way.

The volley stops as soon as the target dies or leaves your sight, so no projectile is wasted on an empty tile.

Knight: challenging monsters

Challenge

exeta res

Challenges every monster on the tiles around you for 8 seconds.

Taunting Strike

exeta res hur

Throws your weapon at one target up to 5 tiles away. It hits for 70% of Whirlwind Throw and challenges the target for 4 seconds. Needs a weapon in hand.

A challenged monster is locked onto you. It will not switch to anyone else for any reason until the challenge ends, which happens when:

  • the time runs out,
  • you die or leave its sight,
  • or someone else challenges it, which replaces your challenge with theirs.

A challenged monster also never runs away from you while the challenge lasts.

Creature Illusion

Say utevo res ina "name with a monster's name to take its shape for 3 minutes.

  • Only monsters that allow it can be copied.
  • Nothing bigger than two by two tiles can be copied, not even by gamemasters: "You cannot take the shape of a creature that large."

Cooldown tiles

The row just above the chat shows your cooldowns. First come an Attack and a Healing tile, then one tile for each spell or rune you have cast. A tile clears exactly when you can cast again, so you never have to guess. A rune shows its own picture, other spells their icon, or their initials when the client has no icon for them.

The Trainer widget

The client's Trainer widget casts by saying its spell field for you. It only says text that is a spell your character can cast: anything else turns red and is never said, so a typo can no longer go out as public chat over and over. The match is exact but ignores upper and lower case, and the list follows your vocation, so it includes all of this server's own spells.
